Arrival - Bamako: January 6th

Arrival in Bamako international airport, you will met, assisted and transferred to your hotel and then stay overnight.

 BamakoDjenné : January 7th

After breakfast, depart Bamako to Djenné, Timbuktu ancients sister city; overnight at Campment in Djenné.

 Djenné – Sangha: January 8th

Djenné city tour on its weekly market day, see the big mosque declared world heritage site; in the afternoon drive to Dogon country. Overnight in Sangha (campment)

 Dogon Country: January 9th

We spend this full day in Dogon country exploring Dogon villages on Bandiagara escarpment edge, witness a Dogon mask traditional dance. Return and stay overnight in Sangha (campment)

 Dogon country – Mopti: January 10th

We travel to Mopti, the Venice of Mali for its location between the Bani and Niger river, visit: the beautiful Sudanese style mosque, the fishing port, the bustling market where many ethnic group of Mali – Bambara, Fulani, Bozo, Bobo, Dogon, Songhoï, come to trade. Enjoy a sunset on the river and then stay overnight at your hotel.

 Mopti – Timbuktu: January 11th

Depart Mopti through the sahel to reach the legendary city of Timbuktu, upon arrival check into your hotel and stay there overnight.

 Three days of festival in Essakane: January 12, 13 and 14

Spend three days enjoying the festival festivities: music, dance, poetry, arts and works, camel races and others. Overnight in private tents.

 Essakane – Timbuktu: January 15th

Drive back to Timbuktu, check into your hotel and visit Timbuktu city: the mosques, the museum and archives, Islamic manuscripts, explorers houses, the market, the craft center. Free in the afternoon, overnight in Timbuktu (hotel).

 Timbuktu – Mopti: January 16th

Drive back from Timbuktu to Mopti across the Sahel, overnight in Mopti (hotel)

 Mopti – Bamako: January 17th

Leave Mopti to reach Bamako, Mali capital city sightseeing and stop in San. Overnight in Bamako (hotel)

 Bamako –home departure: January 18th

This morning we will explore Bamako: the national museum, have an overview of Bamako from Point G, the craft Center, and the colourful market, be transferred to the airport in the evening for your home departure.

 The festival tour includes:

- 9 nights of hotel accommodation (double occupancy) + breakfast,

- 3 nights of Touareg tents accommodation during the festival,

- Ground transportation in an air condition 4WD vehicle to all listed sites,

- Full board pension prepared on the festival site ( 3 breakfast, 3 lunch, and 3 dinner)

- Mineral water,

- Camel ride on the festival dunes,

- An experienced English – speaking guide,

- Dogon mask dance.
